ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Sayid

COMMUNITY LEADER, FAMILY MAN
Sayid Ahmed is a family man, father of four children and married to a Nurse. Sayid is a public servant who served the people of this great province of Alberta for near a decade, with compassion and excellence. He is an Economist who is dedicated to getting value for the taxpayers.
Sayid is a community volunteer and has volunteered with the United Way, Food Bank and local Community Leagues, free tax filing services to many seniors, and low-income and middle-income residents of Central and North Edmonton for the last 5 years.
He is a proud Albertan and a proud first-generation Canadian. Sayid loves this province; it is where he got his shot in life and he wants to help his fellow citizens to realize their aspirations too. And to do so in
the most pragmatic, least partisan ways possible. Sayid's experience within the public services provides him insight on how to ensure the Alberta advantage continues. Sayid believes we have to change both our political and government cultures so they are responsive to everyday Albertans; not to special interests, or to the lobbyists.
Sayid understands tough decisions and difficult issues aren’t always answered with party lines. As your elected representative, Sayid will focus on what is fair and right to make life better for all Albertans. In the House of Commons, Sayid will represent Alberta's voice and will always listen and focus on solving problems that matter to Edmonton Centre. For Sayid, the interest of Edmonton Centre constituents will always come first.

WHY THIS IS THE MOST CRUCIAL ELECTION OF OUR TIME:
Canada is now broken under this Liberal-NDP coalition, led by Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh. We cannot let this continue this way.
We have a serious housing crisis. Housing costs are skyrocketing. Canada's average rent for a 1-bedroom unit is now over $2000 a month. Mortgage payments are now double or triple thanks to Trudeau's coalition.
It is not only the housing crisis, it's also the cost of food. For example, my family of six pays at least $1500 for basic groceries a month. This is not normal. We cannot accept this so I will not stay quiet.
We are all being financially abused by the Trudeau government and big corporations.
Furthermore, there is a mental health and addiction crisis in our communities. So many Canadians are suffering from trauma, addiction, and illness. Suicide deaths are increasing at an alarming rate and the quality of life is deteriorating.
A crime spree has been happening across Canada ever since Trudeau was elected. Crime, violence, and drugs are raging in our downtown. Trudeau's catch-and-release policies let dangerous repeat violent offenders out onto the street and back into our communities, instead of keeping them behind bars. This cannot continue, we need to change so repeat violent offenders get jail, not bail, and the most serious offenders receive sentences that keep them in prison and keep our communities safe.
I have a message for Trudeau and the far left: You must get through to me first. I will be Canada's biggest champion when it comes to the protection of our rights and freedoms, anywhere from parental rights, to religious rights, to any right Canadians have.
